Cacao Smoothie Bowl

Fancy a little chocolate to break-your-fast? This delicious cacao smoothie bowl will give you all the feel good chemicals with the flavour of chocolate! Cacao is a superfood that is rich in xx. This powder has many health benefits of which include supporting the reduction of inflammation, better blood flow, lower blood pressure and improved digestion.

The maca powder is also super nutritious and gives an energy boost, and a tablespoon of chia seeds, which are full of fibre. Overall this is a superfood-packed breakfast that takes just 5 minutes to create!

INGREDIENTS

1 frozen banana

⅓ cup sugar free almond or any other unsweetened plant milk

1 TBS peanut butter

1 TBS cacao powder

Optional add-ins:

1 TBS protein powder

2 TSP maca powder

1 TBS chia, flax or hemp seeds

Toppings:

1/4 banana, sliced

peanut butter, to drizzle

chia seeds

METHOD

Combine bananas, almond milk, peanut butter, cacao powder, and collagen/protein powder, maca powder, and chia seeds if using, in a blender. Puree until completely smooth – the mixture should be thick. Add a touch more milk if necessary to get it to blend completely smooth.

Transfer to a bowl and all of your favourite toppings. Serve immediately, and enjoy!
